About Us

PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore (KCW) was established in 1963 under the auspices of the GRG Trust, Coimbatore. With a motto of ‘empowering women through education’, KCW has established itself as a leader in women’s education over a span of six decades. KCW is an autonomous institution, affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. It is ranked #7 among colleges in the country in 2024 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with the highest A++ grade. KCW is also a 'College of Excellence' certified by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India. All the science departments of KCW have received the 'Star' status from Department of Science and Technology.
